The Rock is simply awesome.  Behind "The Corporate Elbow" and "The Rock Bottom," he has grown to become the most electrifying athlete in sports entertainment today.  Using catch phrases such as "Do you smell what the Rock is cooking?" "Know your damn role," "Laying the smack down," and "It looks like you're checking yourself in to the Smack Down Hotel on Know Your Role Blvd. and Jabronie Drive," the Rock has catapulted himself to the top of WWF Superstardom.

But the story of the Rock was not always so happy.  The Rock, aka Rocky Maivia, started his career in the Federation several years ago.  As Rocky Maivia, he had little success.  People didn't know who he was, and frankly, didn't care.  It was only when he left, and came back in Farooq's Nation of Domination did he start becoming known, although not in a good way.  The fans began chanting "Rocky Sucks" when he came out.  Nonetheless, The Rock came to the realization that he was the true ruler of the Nation.  So he took over the Nation.  His sneak attack on Farooq was where we first saw the "Corporate Eyebrow" used.  In Wrestlemania XIV, we first heard him say, "If you smell what the Rock is cooking" in his hilarious interview with Gennifer Flowers.  Later, in a totally ridiculous move, Owen Hart joined the Nation.  That was the end of the Nation.  Eventually, after a little tustle with D-X, the Rock went solo.  He became a crowd favorite.  People cheered him on.  And then he joined Team Corporate in order to secure his chance to get the WWF title.  Needless to say, he won the title.  Recently, Mankind defeated the Rock on an episode of RAW.  The Rock won his title back in the Royal Rumble, but lost it during the Super Bowl's Halftime heat.
