This is Starcraft.  Starcraft is one of the best games ever made.  It is a game of complex strategy, mixed in with fast-paced melee action.  There are three races.  The Terrans (Humans), the Advanced Technology Protoss, and the Alien Bug-like Zerg.  The object of the game is to simply destroy all your opponents stuff.
    It may seem easy, but there is much strategy involved.  There are several different units per race, and each unit is sort of a counter for other units.  An army of all marines will die against reavers, but those same reavers that rocked the marines would get destroyed by wraiths or mutalisks.  The more advanced units also take more time to build, so if you want them, you have to prepare defences in case your opponent rushes you.  And then just when you think you've mastered the strategy, and have a sureshot way to win, they make the Brood Wars expansion, and you have to learn new strategy to cope with the new units.
    Starcraft can be played over Battlenet, a chatroom/arena where thousands of players from around the world come to play.  This is the major function of Starcraft, and Blizzard was very wise to set this thing up.  You can play with as many as eight people, but if there's a lot of folks, then the lag is bad.  2v2 matches are my bread and butter.  You get the teamwork without the lag.  Except for me.  I'm notorious for lag.
    I've met a couple of people through this game, so I'm thinking it's pretty good.  My cousin got me started with the game.  But there is also a few other guys like Evan.  We met D through Battlenet, and now we're friends with him.  You might think, oh, internet friend.  Freaky.  Maybe he's a psycho child molester.  But that's not true.  I met the guy, and he seems normal enough.  Right D?  Right.
    So there we have it.  Starcraft - giving action packed adventure, high-paced strategic action, and making friends.  And it's a kick ass game.
