"Some Clear Ups"
Okay, to see Zoe and apparently some Iolani girl too, click on "Island Images" when you go to that last site I put up.  Thank you James for pointing this out.

"Thank You Cindy"

"Lew"
You left your Wild Meat and the Bully Burger book here.

"Milo and Ryan"
I've put you folks on this Report list cause I mention you both.

"Another Freak Story"
Here was another of my favorite stories regarding the Wintertime Freak Out.  It concerned Ryan Tanaka and Happy Fisher.  The story is as follows.
Now we were all expecting Ryan not to come back for winter.  However, his dormmates were kind enough to buy him a ticket home.  So Ryan is home, and me, him, Abe, and Kelly Takasawa decide to go see Happy.  Happy doesn't know Ryan is back, and Ryan is ready to surprise Happy by just showing up.  As a side note, Ryan says, "Oh, you can surprise him to Bip, with your new look.  Kid."  So Ryan is all happy about his plan.  We get to Happy's house.  Ryan says, "Okay, Bip, you shock him first.  Go with Abe to the door and scare him.  I'll hide here in the garage.  When you guys walk by with him, I'll jump out and it'll be like, 'Here's Ryan.'"  So we go up and Happy comes the door.  "Oh my God.  Bip.  What did you do to yourself?  Oh hi, Abe.  Bip.  You freak.  Look at you."  We tell him we're going to the beach now, so let's go.  We walk down the steps and pass the garage.  Ryan jumps out, all smiles.  "Hey Happy!"  Happy is unfased.  "Oh.  Hi Ryan."  And continues walking and saying, "Bip, when did you do this?  Why did you do this?" etc.  Meanwhile, Ryan's plan has been foiled.  "Oh.  Happy.  You knew I wasn't supposed to come back, right?"  "Really?  Oh.  No.  I didn't know."  Ryan looks crestfallen.  "Oh.  Okay."  Very funny.

"Tops of '98"
"Music"
Remember now.  I like music that is funny.  And as far as funny music goes, nothing comes close to rap.  With Timbaland, Busta Rhymes, damn.  You can't get funnier.  There's some funny alternative songs.  Pretty Fly for a White Guy being a prominent example.  But here is my list of favorite songs.

10.  Gettin' Jiggy Wit it - Will Smith   Yes, I am one of the few people who like Will songs
9.  Love 2 Love U - Timbaland & Magoo
8.  Money Ain't A Thang - J-D & J-Z
7.  Do For Love - Tupac  (not to be with Tupac's other hit, "Sureshot")
6.  Rugrats (Original Version) - Mya, Blackstreet, MA$E  <---tell me thats not funny.
5.  Are You That Somebody - Aaliyah feat. Timbaland
4.  Can I Get A... - J-Z aka "Jigga" (Bonus points for being named "Jigga")
3.  Rosa Parks - Outkast
2.  It Ain't My Fault - Silk the Shocka
1.  Fire it Up - Busta Ryhmes

Here's some of my runners up.  Hard Knock Life, of which I only liked after seeing the video and realizing there is this line, "So I stretched the game out / Etched your name out / Put Jigga on top" with the hand motions he makes in the video.  Good stuff.  Timbaland's "Lobster & Scrimp", "Here We Go", and "Keep it Real."  Pretty Fly for a White Guy.  I think other songs are 1997.

"Movies"

I watch choke movies.  But they're not new ones.  I feel new movies must earn the right to be good.  Nonetheless, here are my picks.

5.  Truman Show
4.  Rush Hour
3.  Can't Hardly Wait
2.  The Mask of Zorro
1.  Star Wars Episode 1 Trailer

I'm at a loss for number 5.  I guess this is better than the X-Files movie, which only pissed me off that nothing was resolved.  I never saw Armageddon or Saving Private Ryan.  But I figure I wouldn't like either too much.  Sorry Joey, "Mafia!" doesn't rank up there.  Can't Hardly Wait is the surprise.  It is the choice "Kala Pick" that actually turned out to be good.  I was most surprised.  Campily good fun.  Well done movie.  And yes, TItanic sucks ass.  Number One is the obvious pick.

"Events"
There have been many ground breaking events in 1998.  Bill Clinton, the Stock Market, Y2K jitters.  For us, graduation, prom, variety show, etc.  None of these are what I consider to be the best events of 1998.  Here are my personal favorites.

10.  Last Seinfeld.  A very sad day.
9.  Getting Starcraft.  A choice purchase even though my comp no longer lets me play.
8.  Rock wins WWF title.  As a long-time Rock fan, this was a crowning achievement. Only comparable event is Shawn Michael's return, as "I was a D-X fan before D-X was cool."
7.  Advanced Writing.  The Bip Report most likely owes its existence to this class.
6.  Live '98 and Warzone.  Nolan.  I think we both understand how excellent these two games are, and how pivotal they are to life.
5.  Tony hooks us up.  Milo, how can this not be a top 5 event?  Free drinks, desserts, fried rice.  The ability to get drinks and desserts for anybody.  Crap, how can this not be good?
4.  Working at Baskin Robbins.  I learned valuable skills like the changing of the ice cream tubs.  And how can ice cream ever be bad?  Big John, I know you agree.
3.  Freak Out.  This was a most time engulfing project.  And the results.  Muhahahaha.
2.  Fang.  Nothing more needs to be said.  Clearly a large part of my life.
1.  Winning 5th in States for Wrestling

"Games"
Here are my favorite games of '98 in order of discovery.

Live '98, Starcraft, Warzone, Darklord, Bust-A-Groove, Pokemon.

"TV"
Good things to happen to TV.

Robotech on Cartoon Network.  Pokemon cartoon - a quality television program.  RAW's rise to prominence.

Okay that wraps up the best of 1998 edition.  Until next time, diamonds are forever and so is 1998 y'all.
