10-7

Hi everybody.  We're going to start the Bip Report off today with a
big shout out, and word of support to Brett Ho.  For those of you who
don't know, Brett hurt his ACL (knee) and is going into surgery today.
You can thank Jeff DesJarlais for the info relay.  If you'd like to
E-mail Brett, with words of encouragement and whatnot, the address is:

Your fellow soccer guy at Cal, Ward, told us about the injury a while
back.  We're all hoping it gets better, and you can get back and work
some soccer magic.  I'm sure Ward and Carey, and whoever else will
probably send you stuff, if they haven't already, and they'd do a
better job than me.  So I wish you a speedy recovery.

In somewhat related news, the Cal Hawaii club entered it's first (and
last) playoff game for soccer today.  Unfortunatly, Ward was not
there.  I'm hoping you were talking to Brett or something, in which
case, it's all good.  If not...Daaaaaamn (cite Linda), schmall kine
let down.  Anyway, without our leader, we were reduced to a band of
soccer misfits, running around without a clue.  Needless to say, we
lost 4-2, thus ending the lacklustre Cal Hawaii club season.  A few
shining moments were given by the only people who knew what they were
doing, Carey and Jon van Horn.  Other than that, pffff...  sucks.  Jon
had a little series where he repeatedly fired the ball at the goal.
It was as if the ball was shot out of a cannon.  He fell down after a
third extended kick.  And then BOOM, he was up in a flash, and on it
again.  Carey provided the two team scores.  Gayna would've got a goal
for herself...if you were allowed to spike the ball volleyball style.
But Carey's performance was quite DECENT indeed.  Yet without Ward,
the team is incomplete.  Let me add that the assist for the second
goal was provided by yours truly.  It was sorta like, I randomly
kicked the ball, and Carey happened to get it, dribble up, juke
people, and score.  I actually did nothing.  It's like in basketball,
when you throw the ball up, and airball or hit it off the backboard,
but it lands in a teammates hands, and they score.  That's the kind of
assist it was.  Greg had another great performance, including staring
down opponents, and jumping grabs.  We are looking to get Greg some
goalie style gloves, so he can create the image of being pro-like.
This alone would give us the mental edge, and allow us to win.
Well folks, I sat down to another riveting episode of "Dawson's Creek"
tonight.  Such unforgettable storylines, and characters!  Wow!  How
could I ever think to miss a single episode of Dawson's Creek?  It
certainly comes before soccer.  Certainly.  >:P
Finally, I heard a couple new songs on the radio.  One was Jay-D, I
believe.  It includes some sort of chorus from "Annie" with Annie
singing.  Piss poor Jay-D.  Piss poor.  F---, I thought you and Jay-Z
got it locked crazy, in the ferrari, jaguar switchin four lanes.  But
no.  Apparently not.  Also, there was some sort of song set to the
disco version of "Beethoven's Fifth Symphony" ("A Fifth of
Beethoven").  I don't know what the new song is called, but I was
shocked.  Jay, remember when we read the Saturday Night Fever
Soundtrack Booklet?  We laughed at how such a song could have become
number one in America.  Can lightning strike twice?  Will the new
Beethoven song become a number one sensation?  If it does, then...I
don't even know.
Alright then.  Until next time, diamonds are forever, and so is
Beethoven, ultra-violence, and oranges.
